The Right Technology
There are many choices in paternity testing on the Internet, and some are good options. Many are not. The answer 99.999% can be 100% wrong if you choose a substandard facility with flawed procedures and inexperienced analysts. They may not have the experience to know how to interpret mutations (natural changes in the DNA which occur in 2% of all cases we test). Our laboratory has best technology and the most experienced scientists to make sure you receive the highest quality testing available.
A paternity test relies on several factors to be accurate:
A powerful testing battery. A DNA test, to be accurate, requires testing on at least the 13 CODIS loci recommended by the FBI. These loci, or locations on the DNA, are scientifically proven to be a good standard for comparing DNA among individuals. A child’s DNA should match the father’s DNA on each of these locations. However, some companies try to cut costs and test only 9 locations, which in many cases are not enough. At Definitive Proof, we test up to 16 loci to make sure that the results we give you are the most definitive possible. We have the ability to test up to 25 locations if you have an unusual circumstance, such as mutations (random changes in the DNA) and possible fathers who are related.
